ViMe - journal of visual methods

ViMe is a new methods publishing platform and peer-reviewed journal, aims to advance visual research methods across computational, qualitative, and critical approaches.

ViMe welcomes contributions from scholars and researchers worldwide and encourages interdisciplinary work that bridges gaps between the theory and practice of visual methods. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • analytical tools,
  • methods tutorials and walkthroughs,
  • datasets,
  • research-ethics guidelines and principles,
  • critical, reflexive worked examples.

It also considers epistemological and theoretical contributions that examine key issues, innovations, and developments in visual methods.

With a commitment to rigorous peer review and scholarly excellence, ViMe serves as a central platform for the dissemination of high-quality research that informs and shapes the direction of visual methods, but also facilitates learning and teaching. We therefore also welcome contributions that allow early-career researchers, students, and scholars entering a new field to follow and apply a research method or approach in practice.
